EYTCC at Tythe House Gardens

EYTCC members have been invited by Terry & Susanne Hardcastle to bring along their Historic & Classic Cars, and participate in their Open Gardens Scheme in support of various charities,  by the owners of

Tythe Farm House,  Carr Lane, Wansford.  Driffield
East Riding of Yorkshire
YO25 8NP                  

Wansford is 3 miles east of Driffield on B1249. Turn left at mini roundabout onto Nafferton Road. Carr Lane is opposite the Church. Approx 600 yards on right.

To explain. The owners have a large garden, 10 acres in total here. Last year they gained the National Garden Scheme seal of approval to open our garden for charity on their behalf.

This summer they have attracted over 800 visitors so far which has resulted in well over five thousand pounds being raised for charities including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, and Carers Trust etc., etc.

The owners have made parts of their home, a café facility for up to 40 people serving drinks, teas, coffee, and homemade cakes at one sitting, indoors or outside if the weather is kind.  Concrete / lawned areas for parking up to 60 cars  ground conditions permitting.  The owners reserve the right to cancel if ground or weather conditions prevent parking on the lawn areas.

The owners believe they could comfortably accommodate up to 60 cars, providing club provides marshal’s to oversee the parking.                                                                                            

The owners state that as the gardens have wildlife inhabiting them, NO DOGS would be allowed access, and this must be strictly applied.

Admission is £5.00 per person. Refreshments, and home-made food will be available for around £5+ per person
